There's a new addition to the endangered species list - the home cook.  In an article for the New York Times, author Michael Pollan notes that we're spending less time than any generation cooking for ourselves.

Join for a chance to meet fellow food bloggers hosted by special guest Theresa Albert, cookbook author and Food Network Canada host as we talk about passion in the kitchen, and what we can do to pass on cooking skills to the next generation.

The panel will be moderated by Theresa Albert, and will include:

- Anna Withrow, Food Writer and Founder of the LIVERight Awards
- Amanda Laird, Food Blogger and Communicator
- Ryan Anderson, Web strategist and PR Blogger

The evening will begin at 6:00pm at Edward Levesque's Kitchen (http://www.edwardlevesque.ca) and will be an informal gathering of food bloggers and social media types with a penchant for cooking.  Following the informal chat, there will be some time to meet and mingle with hors d'oeuvres provided by Chicken Farmers of Canada, the sponsor of the event.

Chicken Farmers of Canada

Since 1978, Chicken Farmers of Canada has worked to develop and regulate the chicken industry in Canada, to ensure that only safe, quality chicken reaches our table.

This year, they have developed chickenfeeds.ca - a blog and podcast aimed at getting more Canadians back into the kitchen and passing on healthy cooking skills to the next generation.
